The arrow quivered in the tree inches from Nicolai's head. "I guess they do not have anything to tell you," Bertram quipped from the warrior's side.

"Well I believe I will have to ask again in person then," the dark haired man growled and he pushed forward through the forest.

Nicolai clamped his hands to his ears. "It sounds like a horde of lost souls in hell trying to be heard in heaven!" he tried to shout over the sound, but wasn't sure if his friend heard him.

Bertram offered him a flat smile. "You're almost correct, friend. Now come, we have an appointment." He motioned with the lantern and entered the cave.
